Petite Champagne N°16 celebrates 1889 the century of the French revolution.

With its amber hue with golden and bright tints, this Cognac expresses to the nose anise nuances with fennel and leather notes. The heart is supple with sleek tannins. The rancio evolves to cocoa notes, tobacco and truffle. A treasure filled with harmonious and aromatic persistency.

Ce cognac dévoile sous sa robe acajou aux reflets dorés et brillants un nez complexe de rancio, de noix, de tabac, de chocolat noir et de zeste d'orange. Sa bouche est ample et ronde. Elle rappelle les fruits confits, le cuir et le fenouil. Sa persistance aromatique évolue vers la réglisse.

Possessing an amber hue with golden, bright and mahogany tints. The rancio develops walnut, tobacco, orange zest and dark chocolate aromas. The heart is supple and generous with candied fruits, leather and fennel aromas. The aromatic persistency evolves to liquorice.

The Fins Bois
Fins Bois is the first growth of the wooded area. Its eaux-de-vie are fast maturing and robust. Being such a large area there are significant local variations in the soil conditions. Generally the soil is more clay over a hard limestone sub-soil. There are however pockets of chalkier soil, and the single cru cognacs of this growth originate from this small areas which develop eaux-de-vie of a great style.

With its deep amber yellow colour with copper tints, this cognac expresses to the nose a light and elegant rancio*, together with cedar nuances, with tobacco and cigar-box notes.

*Charentais term used to designate the complex and specific aromas originated from a long   ageing in oak casks whose intensity increases with the years. The heart is spicy with strong pepper and cinnamon aromas. The unsurpassable aromatic persistency expresses all the characteristics of a very long ageing in the dark and humid atmosphere of the cellar.

Elle rappelle également le chocolat noir et développe une fraicheur d’aromates, de fenouil, d’anis et de réglisse. Très bonne persistance aromatique.

It is characterized by its rolling landscape and chalky soils which produce fine light cognacs of a great finesse with a predominantly floral bouquet requiring long ageing in the barrel to achieve maturity.

This Cognac has a beautiful deep amber yellow colour with gold tints. The nose reveals elegant and light rancio*, with dark chocolate notes.

The heart is powerful, reminding of the dark chocolate and developing seasoning’s freshness with anise and liquorice nuances. A treasure filled with harmonious and aromatic persistency.

Sa bouche est puissante, marquée de cacao, la fleur et le zest d'orange en finale.
